It collects reports, conversations, texts, and artistic contributions on diversity and anti-discrimination. All members of UdK Berlin are welcome to submit their contributions. This will allow for a detailed picture of moments and structures of discrimination at an art university to emerge.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"mailto:diversity@udk-berlin.de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">diversity@udk-berlin.de<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We thank the university management of UdK Berlin for their support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"i\"><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Framework_Antidiscrimination\"><\/span>Framework Antidiscrimination<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"is-style-more-info-paragraph\">GENERAL EQUAL TREATMENT ACT<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.antidiskriminierungsstelle.de\/DE\/ThemenUndForschung\/Recht_und_gesetz\/DasGesetz\/dasGesetz_node.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">General Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz, AGG)<\/a>\u00a0is the uniform central body of regulations in Germany for the implementation of four European anti-discrimination directives that have been issued since 2000. It came into force on 18 August 2006.<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"is-style-more-info-paragraph\">STATE ANTI-DISCRIMINATION ACT<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.berlin.de\/sen\/lads\/recht\/ladg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">State Anti-Discrimination Act (LADG)<\/a>\u00a0is the central anti-discrimination law key project of the Berlin Senate. The Chamber of Deputies passed it in its session on 04.06.2020<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"is-style-more-info-paragraph\">UNIVERSITY CONTRACT OF THE BERLIN UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"is-style-default\">The current\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.berlin.de\/sen\/wissenschaft\/politik\/hochschulvertraege\/hochschulvertrag-2018-2022-03-tu-inkl-anlagen.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">university contract of the Berlin University of the Arts (PDF)<\/a>\u00a0runs from 2018 to 2022, and the UdK&#8217;s Diversity Policy must be adopted by 2022 at the latest.<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"is-style-more-info-paragraph\">GUIDELINES ON GENDER JUSTICE AND ANTI-DISCRIMINATION AT THE UDK BERLIN<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.udk-berlin.de\/universitaet\/gleichstellungspolitik\/umgang-mit-diskriminierung\/richtlinie-zum-schutz-gegen-sexualisierte-diskriminierung-belaestigung-und-gewalt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Directive on protection against (sexualised) discrimination, harassment and violence.<\/a>\u00a0The Directive entered into force on 29 June 2019. It is accompanied by the establishment of the Confidence Council (Vertrauensrat), which provides information on (sexualised) discrimination, harassment and violence, supports those affected, and recommends preventive measures.<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"is-style-more-info-paragraph\">UDK BROCHURE ON SEXUALISED DISCRIMINATION AND VIOLENCE<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.udk-berlin.de\/fileadmin\/2_dezentral\/FR_Gleichstellungspolitik\/Naehe_und_Distanz\/UDK_Broschuere_NaeheDistanz_web.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PDF download of the brochure<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"is-style-more-info-paragraph\">STATUTE FOR THE REALISATION OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p>The far-reaching statute was unanimously adopted by the Academic Senate on 6 May 2020 and is now before the Berlin Senate for examination.<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"is-style-more-info-paragraph\">MEASURES FOR MORE GENDER JUSTICE AT THE UDK BERLIN<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/criticaldiversity.udk-berlin.de\/fuer-eine-gendergerechte-udk\/\">measures<\/a>\u00a0are based on the statute for equal opportunities and regulate the recognition and integration of non-binary gender identities, the recognition and integration of self-chosen first names and the introduction of up to 50% gender-neutral toilets.<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"i-2\"><\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Critical_Diversity_Policy_of_the_Berlin_University_of_the_Arts\"><\/span>Critical Diversity Policy of the Berlin University of the Arts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p>On December 7th, 2022, the <a href=\"http:\/\/udk-berlin.de\/fileadmin\/2_dezentral\/Referat_Studienangelegenheiten\/Gremien\/KfC\/2022-12-07_352_AS_52-22_Critical_Diversity_Policy_Veroeffentlichung_Website.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"udk-berlin.de\/fileadmin\/2_dezentral\/Referat_Studienangelegenheiten\/Gremien\/KfC\/2022-12-07_352_AS_52-22_Critical_Diversity_Policy_Veroeffentlichung_Website.pdf\">Critical Diversity Policy<\/a> \u2013 Concept for Antidiscrimination and Diversity of the UdK Berlin \u2013 was unanimously approved by the Academic Senate of the UdK Berlin after many years of intensive work by various actors and committees.<\/p>\r\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Members_of_the_Critical_Diversity_Working_Group\"><\/span>Members of the Critical Diversity Working Group<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Critical Diversity WG is an initiative of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.udk-berlin.de\/universitaet\/zentrale-gremien\/kommission-fuer-chancengleichheit-kfc\/\">Standing Equal Opportunity <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.udk-berlin.de\/universitaet\/zentrale-gremien\/kommission-fuer-chancengleichheit-kfc\/\">Commission.<\/a><br>It is an association of actors in the field of anti-discrimination at
