The list of pronouns is continuously evolving. An individual may have several sets of preferred pronouns, or none. The intention of both asking and using a person\u2019s pronouns correctly is to reduce the negative societal effects for those whose personal pronouns don\u2019t match with the gender identity that\u2019s assumed by a cisnormative society.
