The Critical Diversity Blog (CDB) is a project by the Critical Diversity Working Group at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) and is dedicated to topics related to diversity and anti-discrimination—both at UdK Berlin and beyond. We are currently seeking interviews that focus on diversity and anti-discrimination in artistic and creative contexts. Are you engaged with these topics and would like to share them with our readers? We welcome your proposals!
We are especially looking for proposals (700–1,000 characters) from underrepresented and marginalized voices among UdK Berlin students. Tell us who you would like to interview and why. The application deadline is October 15, 2024. A total of three submissions will be selected by a jury consisting of the Critical Diversity Working Group and selected student representatives. You will receive feedback promptly. The final text must be submitted by November 10, 2024.
Process:
- Application: Send your proposal in German or English to diversity@udk-berlin.de.
- Selection: Three submissions will be chosen based on their relevance to diversity and anti-discrimination topics at UdK Berlin.
- Interview: The interviews will take place by November 10. We are happy to assist with making contact.
- Honorarium: The honorarium is €300 each for you and the interviewee.
- Publication: Your contribution will be published on the Critical Diversity Blog.
*You and the interviewee will receive €300 after submitting the completed interview and the signed self-employment declaration, contract, and invoice. Please note that we are unfortunately unable to pay honoraria to individuals employed by UdK Berlin.
We look forward to getting to know you and sharing your contributions with our community!Best regards,
